State Teaching Certificate awarded to Lawrence A. Logan, Iowa, 1925

Lawrence Andrew Logan received a “Second Grade State Certificate” from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners 2 February 1925. The document below includes his test scores. It’s interesting to see the subjects on which teaching candidates were tested.

Lawrence Logan was the son of Lemuel “Lem” S. Logan and Margaret Elliott Logan. He served as superintendent of schools at Polk City, Norwalk, Bedford, Panora, and Shenandoah, Iowa. He received his Master of Arts degree from the State University of Iowa in 1935. Lawrence Logan: 1897-1987.
