J.H. Logan: Newspaper article, “Fort Worth Daily Gazette,” Fort Worth, Texas, 23 November 1887

Joel Harrison Logan — J.H. Logan — son of Hillary Logan and Abigail Wallace Logan, was born circa 1841 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. He married Mahala “Mahaley” Frances Haggard. Joel H. Logan served in the 10th Texas Infantry Regiment, C.S.A., from 1861-1865. He had his ear shot off at the Battle of Franklin in 1864. He lived in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas, until moving to Los Angeles County, California, where he died in 1898. Mahala died there in 1924.
