Appraisal bill of Britain Boleyn’s estate, York District, South Carolina, 1853

Britton Boleyn (both first and last names spelled a multitude of ways — here Britain) married Margaret Logan, daughter of William Logan and Jane Margaret Black Logan. Margaret Logan Boleyn died 8 January 1849; Britten Boleyn died 5 April 1853. Margaret and Britten Boleyn are buried at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Clover, York County, South Carolina.

Possible photograph of John Black Logan, 25 December 1786-6 March 1860, York County, South Carolina

This photograph was shared by Marilyn Elliott Logan and Betty Logan. Both stressed that they believe it to be a photograph of John Black Logan, but don’t have definitive proof. If anyone has any further information about the photo, we’d love to hear about it. John Black Logan was the son of William Logan and Jane Margaret Black Logan of York County, South Carolina. He is buried at Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Clover, South Carolina.

Marilyn Elliott Logan is the widow of Jack Ramseur Logan, son of Benjamin Franklin Logan, Jr., and Lillie Hogue Logan. Betty Logan is the daughter of George Herndon Logan and Alma Gertrude Westbrook Logan.

Will of Zedoc (Zadoc) (Zadok) (Zadock) Packard, York District, South Carolina, 1831

Zadock Packard (spelled Zedoc below), son of Zadock Packard and Martha Howard Packard, was born 15 April 1795 in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. (This was an out-of-the-ordinary move at that time and those places and the reason is unclear.) He married Mary Logan, daughter of William Logan and Jane Margaret Black Logan. She was born 13 August 1793 in York County, South Carolina. Zadoc Packard died 15 April 1832 in York County, South Carolina. He was only 37. He is buried at Buffalo Baptist Church cemetery in what was then York County, but is now Cherokee County, South Carolina. Mary Logan Packard died 6 January 1875 in Clover, South Carolina. She is buried at Bethany Presbyterian Church cemetery near Clover.

Will of Britton Boleyn, York District, South Carolina, 1853

Britton (Britten) Boleyn was born in Virginia in 1782. He married Margaret Logan, daughter of William Logan and Jane Margaret Black Logan. Britten (Britton) Boleyn served as a private in Means’ Regiment, 1st South Carolina Militia, during the War of 1812. Margaret Logan Boleyn died 8 January 1849 in York District, South Carolina. Britten (Britton) Bolyn died 5 April 1853. Margaret and Britten Boleyn are buried at Bethany Presbyterian Churchyard, Clover, South Carolina.

Britton Bolin (Britten Boleyn), born in Virginia in 1782, married Margaret Logan, daughter of William Logan and Jane Margaret Black Logan of York District, South Carolina. Margaret Logan was born circa 1782 and died 8 January 1849. Britton (Britten) Bolin (Boleyn) died 5 April 1853. Both are buried at Bethany Presbyterian Churchyard, Clover, York County, South Carolina.
