Civil War service of Private Joab Logan, Co. D, 43rd Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (EMM), Union, 1862-1864

Joab L. Logan — spelled “Jobe” below — son of Zachariah Logan and Margaret “Peggy” Brown Logan, lived in Benton County, Missouri, when the Civil War began. He enrolled in Co. D, 43rd Regiment, EMM, in 1862.

Fannie was the daughter of Jackson B. Logan and Rebecca Lamb Logan. Jackson B. Logan was the son of Joab Logan and Mahala Bennett Logan.

Carroll Bias Logan: Some probate records, Perry County, Illinois, 1852-1853 (part 1)

Carroll Bias Logan, son of Zachariah Logan and Margaret “Peggy” Brown Logan, was born either 11 or 16 March 1816 in Allen County, Kentucky. He married Lucinda “Lucy” Ann Venable 26 September 1835 in Allen County, Kentucky. Carroll Bias Logan, a blacksmith, died 31 December 1852 in Perry County, Illinois, possibly of cholera.

Deed: Joab Logan to C.B. Logan and Jackson B. Logan, Allen County, Kentucky, 1855

Joab Logan, thought to be the son of Reuben Logan and Rachel Moore Logan, was born circa 1798 in Pendleton District, South Carolina. He married Mahala Bennett 6 July 1827 in Allen County, Kentucky. Joab and Mahala Bennett Logan had children: Carroll Bennett Logan and Jackson “Jack” B. Logan, born 25 May 1830 and 20 December 1833, respectively.
