Frances Jane Bryant was the daughter of Jane Logan Bryant and Reuben Bryant. Jane Logan was the daughter of William Logan and Permelia Neece Logan. Frances was born 14 February 1852 in Lawrence County, Missouri. She married Josiah C. Forbes. He was a Civil War veteran: Wisconsin 5th Light Artillery Battery, U.S. (Union). He died in 1895. Frances Jane Bryant Forbes died 2 April 1939 in Lawrence County, Missouri.

Death certificate: Newton “Newt” Logan, Lawrence County, Missouri, 1842-1920

Newton “Newt” Logan, son of William Logan and Permelia Neece Logan, was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee. His twin brother was Jasper Logan. (This is yet another way the once-highly popular name “Jasper Newton” was used: Jasper and Newton.) Newton Logan married Belinda Ashlock. He served in Co. F, 11th Missouri Infantry Regiment, Parson’s Brigade, Smith’s Corps, Confederate States of America. He was wounded at the Battle of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and his right leg was amputated. He was not quite 20 years old.

Death certificate: Mary Commons Logan White, Jasper County, Missouri, 1857-1937

Mary Commons Logan, daughter of William Logan and Permelia Neece Logan, was born 24 February 1857 in Logan, Lawrence County, Missouri. Mary Commons Logan married James B. White 31 August 1882 in Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri. James died 15 September 1925 of pulmonary tuberculosis. Mary died of influenza 3 February 1937. They are buried at Webb City Cemetery, Webb City, Jasper County, Missouri.
